Addison County Solid Waste Management District (ACSWMD) is seeking volunteer repair experts for our summer Repair Café! July 14, 2018 is the tentative event date, although the date and time are subject to change.
A Repair Café is a free community event that promotes repair as an alternative to throwing things away. Participants will bring broken household items and work with volunteer repairers to learn how to fix them. Read more about Repair Cafés at www.repaircafe.org.
We are seeking a diverse pool of “fixperts” who can share their knowledge and work with Repair Café attendees. Examples of fixpert skills include (but are not limited to):
• Sewing/mending
• Cobbling
• Small appliance repair
• Clock repair
• Watch repair
• Carpentry
• Electronics repair
• Bike repair

If you are handy, skilled at fixing household items, and/or passionate about reuse, repair, and helping out your neighbors, ACSWMD needs your help!
