SCORE Vermont offers one no-cost educational event per month to support the business community and we are in need a leader for our small business Education team who is passionate about education while having the insights for the types of topics that are relevant to today's small business owners.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruit and build your team (and sub-teams)
- Create, develop, and manage the 8 Educational Series events currently being done in Chittenden county
- Create, develop, and manage new events outside the “8 event” series, including VT hot spot areas
- Seek opportunities to partner with sister agencies for events; create, develop & manage those events
- Vet new workshop presenters
- Train new event team members, including event greeters, and ensure a healthy showing of SCORE mentors to all events
- Reviews all event exit surveys and distributes to team, leadership and event venue/sponsors as required
- Report workshop results
- Work in conjunction with the Marketing & Communications team to promote events
This is strictly a volunteer position. The vast majority of tasks can be done remotely or at your home office, while some tasks, like the event itself, would need your presence approximately one mid-week night per month.
