UWAC has a new Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator! Linnea Oosterman recently returned to her home town of Ferrisburgh after working as a staff assistant at Duke Pediatric Neurosurgery in North Carolina. She brings significant experience as a coordinator in the medical and educational fields, including positions with the UVM Cancer Center, the Stern Center, Hinesburg Family Practice, the Howard Center and Ferrisburgh Elementary's after school program
Volunteerism has always been a priority for Linnea. After earning the Girl Scouts' prestigious Gold Award at 16-years-old, she continued doing good deeds -- remaining active in her church, volunteering for the Bixby Library, Equestrian Challenges (a horse riding program for disabled children and adults) and even providing foster care. Linnea is happy to be back amongst friends and family in Addison County and looks forward to making new connections and a positive impact. We are thrilled with the newest addition to our UWAC team and know she will play an instrumental role in improving lives. Welcome Linnea!
