Who We Are
The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vergennes operates in downtown Vergennes. We invite all young people in grades 4 through 12 to come to the club. They are welcomed by caring and competent staff and volunteers. We offer dinner each day, homework assistance, recreation, arts and STEM enrichment activities.
We have some dedicated volunteers who love spending time with our club members. Most enjoy working on projects and developing friendships.
What We Do
Ask any kid why they come to the Club and they are likely to say, "because it's fun!" Ask a staff or board member why they want kids to come to the Club and they'll tell you that the Club provides a safe place and welcoming environment for all young people, regardless of their background, beliefs, or proof of character.
The Club is different things for all kids. For some it's a rec center to hang out with friends, for others it's the only place they have where they feel like they "fit in". For others still, it's a safe haven away from the danger they may find elsewhere. Club staff and volunteers provide informal guidance and mentoring services to young people every day to help make sure all the kids we serve are on the right track and as our missions says- reaching their full potential.
